What events do Rapture perform at?
Corporate Events
Rapture performs at a variety of corporate events, including company dinner dances, Christmas parties, product launches, and award presentation nights. We tailor our performances to match the tone and energy of your event.
Weddings & Private Functions
We provide entertainment for weddings, birthday parties, and other private celebrations, ensuring a fun and memorable experience for you and your guests.
Festivals & Outdoor Events
Our band is well-equipped to perform at outdoor street festivals and large-scale public events, delivering high-energy performances that engage audiences of all sizes.
How many years have you been in business?
Rapture has been performing since May 14, 1994. The band was originally formed for a family wedding by bandleader Jeremy, who carefully selected professional musicians to create an unforgettable live experience. Since then, Rapture has grown into a highly sought-after band for a variety of high-profile events.
Do I need to provide a meal for the band?
Yes, in most cases, event organizers are required to provide a meal for our band members. We have a hospitality rider that outlines our specific meal requirements. If needed, please send us an email, and we will gladly provide you with a copy.
Does Rapture travel outside of Melbourne, Australia?
Yes. We have performed in various states and territories across Australia, as well as internationally in countries such as Singapore, Hong Kong, and Papua New Guinea. We frequently travel to country Victoria for events. Additional costs for travel, including airfares, accommodation (minimum 4-star), and ground transfers, may apply.
Does the band provide a PA system?
Yes, we can provide a PA system for an additional fee. However, some venues already have an in-house production company that manages audio, stage, and lighting production. When we provide a quote, we will specify whether the PA system is included or if it needs to be arranged separately. We use a band fee calculator for most quotes. Our team works with trusted production suppliers and engineers to ensure top-quality sound for both small and large events.
How long does the band actually play for?
The length of our performance depends on several factors, including the structure of your event. Every function is unique, and Rapture aims to provide maximum entertainment value. If meals are delayed or speeches run longer than expected, we will work with venue operators to make real-time adjustments and maximize dance time.
The venue does not have a stage, do I need to hire one?
A stage is not mandatory, but we highly recommend having one. A stage enhances the band’s presence, improves audience visibility, and contributes to the overall presentation of your event. If you’re unsure, we can discuss your venue setup and advise on the best options.
What line-ups do you offer?
Our base band is a 5-piece ensemble consisting of:
- Drums
- Bass
- Keyboards
- Male vocalist
- Female vocalist
To customize your experience, we can expand our band with the following options:
- 3-piece horn section (saxophone, trumpet, trombone)
- 2-4 dancers for added visual energy
- Additional musicians such as a guitarist, saxophonist, or percussionist
