Jeremy LaBrooy
Bandleader & Bass
Jeremy is the man behind Rapture in more ways than one! He drives the groove on the electric bass with his rocking back-line rhythm section musicians. His wealth of knowledge in making events exceed our client’s expectations is his specialty!
Jeremy played bass many Australian theatre productions including the Melbourne Premiere of Les Miserables in 1989 at The Princess Theatre, Billy Elliot at Her Majesty’s theatre in 2008 – 2009, Mamma Mia in 2010 and Hairspray The Musical in 2011. He also played bass (deputy) in the theatre bands of Grease The Musical 2014 and Dirty Dancing 2015 and has been a freelance bass player in Melbourne for over 25 years. Jeremy has an online bass lessons website and he has also written an instructional electric bass book and DVD which was released worldwide in September 2009.

A live telecast from the Princess Theatre of The Hairspray cast & band performing on Hey Hey Its Saturday. In this video clip, Jeremy is on a Fender Jazz 5 string bass playing live with the Hairspray band. The finale and hit song of Hairspray, ‘You Can’t Stop The Beat’ was performed and recorded live for Hey Hey, It’s Saturday.

Years of experience as a professional actor and singer have seen her perform all over Australia and overseas. Her high energy performance constantly captivates audiences and her warm, fun personality is infectious.
